I’m sure you’ve seen Lori Harvey on her stepfather Michael Kors’ runway show. You might also know that she was a model for many years, but what you might not know is that she’s an artist a painter and sculptor who has worked with some of the most prestigious artists in the industry. The last time we saw Lori on the catwalk was at New York Fashion Week in February 2019 when she walked for Michael Kors himself. This time around, our favorite designer brought along his daughter Lourdes as well! Unlike other models, Lori Harvey is a cool model. An illustration would be the aspiring businessperson eating French breakfast as she gets ready for a fashion display. Before getting ready, “I will always make time for a short bite,” she asserts.

New York Fashion

At a time when some in the industry complain they only have time for coffee and not meals, it is a welcome statement to hear during New York Fashion Week. So it is the definition of goals when Harvey downs a decadent-looking breakfast while maintaining a ravishingly gorgeous appearance. We haven’t even discussed her appearance yet. Harvey, styled by Elly Karamoh, appeared on the runway for Michael Kors’ spring/summer 2023 collection in the Meatpacking District wearing a grey minidress, an identical oversized coat, and her trademark Yankees cap (she is in New York supporting a New York designer, after all). “Classic, ageless, and a great tribute to NYC,” she said. The model’s own striking stud diamond earrings and a straightforward, straight bob, worn perfectly under the thematic item, complemented the look. Regarding her go-to jewelry, she exclaims, “You can never go wrong!” The figure-hugging outfit gave Harvey a huge confidence boost. What did you wear to your fitting?

When you go to a fitting, there are a few things you should do. First and foremost, you want to wear something that fits well. If it’s too small or too big, it will look awkward on your body. You also need to think about what kind of shoes and accessories will work with the outfit. For example, if you’re wearing a dress with heels and no necklace or watch (like this one), then it might be better not to wear those accessories at all!

So what did Lori wear? She wore a navy blue dress which looked great paired with nude lipstick; she added jewelry such as a necklace set consisting of three pieces: a gold heart pendant necklace; gold choker bracelet; diamond stud earrings set etc.; finished off her look by pairing turquoise colored sandals with sky blue pumps

Tell me about your look

The dress was a Michael Kors design, and it had a high neckline. It also had a high waistline, which made my figure look longer than it was. The princess cut gave me room for movement without being too low-cut or exposing too much skin.

The length of the skirt was just right it didn’t drag on the floor when I walked around during rehearsals or on stage during my interview with Michael Kors himself! And while silk is naturally heavier than cotton in terms of warmth against your skin (and therefore suitable for cold weather), it still feels smooth against your skin unless you get sweaty inside an athletic event like this one would be like if we were doing our jobs correctly!

Favorite Kors runway moment of all time?

The most memorable moment for me was when I modeled for Michael Kors.

It’s the biggest show of the season, and it’s also one of my favorite times to be on stage because you get to work with so many talented designers and models. It was such an honor to walk in front of all those people!

What was it like to be at the show with your family?

The Kors show was an exciting experience for Lori Harvey, and she couldn’t have been happier to be there with her family. She felt so lucky to be surrounded by her loved ones, who supported her through the whole process.

“I am so proud of my family,” she said. “They’ve been incredible supporters and I can’t wait to celebrate together.”

Will, you keep wearing the dress post-show?

As you might expect, this dress is a one-of-a-kind custom Michael Kors design. It’s not available for purchase and it’s a special piece for Lori Harvey to wear on the show.

She’ll likely keep wearing it after the show because she loves how comfortable it is and how much attention she gets when she wears it out in public.

So, any big plans for after the show?

The show will be on Thursday, February 9th and it’s going to be huge. After the show, Lori Harvey will be attending with her longtime friend and mentor, Michael Kors. They’ll both be in the audience at Bryant Park together and that’s where we’ll all see them!

Lori said she can’t wait for this opportunity: “It’s been an amazing journey so far,” she said. “I’m looking forward to seeing my friends from Europe as well as meeting new people.” Lori Harvey has done it all, from being a model to appearing on her stepfather’s reality show. She is the daughter of Michael Kors, who was also the host of Project Runway and competed on the show along with his wife.
